what size balancer to get for 396?? any suggestions? does the harmonic balancer get neutral balanced like the clutch?

This really should have been posted in the LT1 Tech forums, along with your piston request thread.

If it's an LT1, you don't have much choice as to what balancer you can use. Stock, Fluidampr or ATI are about it, although there is a guy on eBay selling Fluidampr knockoffs for less than $200.

Honestly, if you can't figure out some of these really basic questions, then you either need to consult with an experienced engine builder or have someone build the engine for you.
