383 stroker question

I was going to do an LE3 set up but upon tearing my motor down the bottom end is not forged so my current plans are a forged eagle crank, 6" H-beam rods and SRP pistons. My main question is how much machining needs to be done to the block and will i need to machine the rods to clear a GM847 cam? This will be going in a 2 bolt main block any idea on what kind of power this shortblock would handle?

Thanks Scott

Re: 383 stroker question

Dont do a forged crank in a 2 bolt block, not really worth it.

You need to bore, hone, clearance and deck the block at least. It will need new cam bearings and it has to be cleaned as well with new freeze plugs. I would also zero deck the block while I was in there.
