Question 383 Stroker LT1 Decision ?

Ok, So my Stroker is damn near complete and I need to decide if I'm going to put it in the Chicken or buy an old Chevelle to put it in. Motor specs are below. Just can't decide. It seems like very few people put these motors in the older cars. Anyone with a knowledge of the older (Chevelle, Camaro, Firebird) car restoration values would be appreciated.

4 Bolt Callies Caps
Callies Dragon Slayer Crank
Eagle H Beam Rods
Mahle Power Pak Pistons
LE2 Heads / Cam
Ported Intake
1.6 Comp Mag RR's
30# Injectors

Thanks
Kirk

I have a large group of buddies with older cars, one who put a lsx into a 55 chevy and it was a PITA! Wiring alone may deter you from wanting to do this project. Although it was cool as hell, he said he'd never put a another comp. controlled motor in an old car again, but to each his own. As far as restoration value, I'll ask my friend about what hes sees, he buys and sells hot rods left and right, he gets one plays with it and gets tired of it, gets a new one to build or beat on.

I have been readig this site because of all the interesting and informative questions. As far as installing these power plants in older cars, go for it. It's not bad if you do your homework.
The install took me a week once I had all the parts together. lt1 in a 66 with 200r4= 28 mpg

I put an LT4 in my '94 Silverado. Wiring can be the toughest part if you are not familar with it. I had a complete LT4 motor including the harness so I basically just needed to splice into the wires to provide a signal to the gauges and the PCM / ALDL plug in the cab.

I think Painless makes a wiring kit for it that would make the wiring process a lot easier.

Thanks for the input guys. I think I'm just going to slap it in the Ole Chicken. Unfortuneatly getting old forces you to responsibillity and the reality I just don't have the time and money for a restoration. What a bunch of shiz?

I go through this with customers all the time.

Best thing I can say is go find one to drive. stuffing all this into an old car is cool but....they still drive like old cars
