383 stroker hp numbers, planning a build
I have done some searching but don't see too much of what i'm looking for. Is it possible to make 600hp with a 383 lt1? if so how bad does the streetability become? I'm talking only driving this thing on the weekends or to and from the track, i got a 4 banger for weekday duty. Also would it have to be run on race gas? I'm trying to get all the info i can before i go deep into building a motor. But i was thinking
Callies Dragon Slayer crank
Compstar rods
mahnle(sp?) or je pistons
splayed 4 bolt mains
AFR heads. maybe i'm going to look into this eric bradby guy.
arp everything of course
not sure of the cam size yet
possibly the entire aeromotive lt1 kit, or at least a better fuel pump to go with the injectors
I have a fully ported intake manifold and 58mm throttle body on my dresser
Thats about as far as i got. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also would i have to trade out headers or will my pacesetters flow enough. I was thinking of putting 3'' true dual exhaust with magnaflows and turndowns out back, so i'm not worried about that.
Thanks
Chris

You would need to build something like this. Or even meaner if your talking 600rwhp NA.
