383 stroker .... fuel injection maybe?
Hey guy my car is sorta acting up right now...for about the past week my car has been driving great..no complaint..allot because I found perfect gas for it...but just today and yesterday its doing some weird stuff...I start the car ... the engine turn...BUT WON'T idle for nothing..the engine will shut down... And sometimes I have to turn the key and give the car gas(by pressing on the gas) to get it started...@ high speeds...I have no problems or when I'm accelerating or given the car gas....I have no problems....but not pressing on the pedal...the car begins to choke...WHats Wrong? thanx guys
The idle control sensor valve on the lower portion of your throttle body. I think it stands for Inlet air control, not sure but it regulates flow at idle.
Being your having to open the throttle blades to run, thats where I would look first.

Sounds like it may be running too rich on startup. Pressing on the accel pedal does not "give the car gas" when the engine is cranking on startup. If you push it far enough, it puts the PCM in "clear flood" mode to eliminate any excess fuel.
