383 re-tune

Is it essential to have my PCM re-tuned for the 383 stroker and mods i have below? Will it be ok or will it run like shat?

i think that cam is going to be pretty tame since the more cubes the bigger the duration so by you boostin the cubes you weakened the cam. with that little of a cam it might run but you need to get it tuned pcmforless.com.

I would atleast have it programed so that the PCM knows it's a 383 and not a 350, if you have differant injectors I would change that too. You probably don't need to change anything else.

If you want to get the most out of it you need to get a baseline tune for a hotcam and then dyno tune to get your WOT numbers dialed in.......otherwise you could be leaving 20-40 hp untapped. It simply makes no sense to spend the money on a 383 and scimp on the tuning.
