383 oil pan

I know this question has been asked a number of times But what oil Pan do I need for a 383. I tried doing a search but only found people saying cantons. I have a 400 Nodler Iron crank with stock shot pined rods and .30 Forged pistions and a meiling MSS High volume oil pump. Canton is to expensive for me so I was wondering is Moroso or Milodon has 1. I have hooker longtubes so I need them to fit around that as well. I had to motor in once and started it to find a LOUD screetching sound. So I had to pull it all out to see the windage tray hadnt been clearnced nor the oil pan. If someone could tell me who makes 1 and pos a part #

Thanks
Matt

Re: 383 oil pan

I have a Milodon. It is a nice pan with windage tray. It was nearly the price of the Canton, if I remember correctly, but I don't have the part number handy. If its any help it was a 7 quart model. Call them.

Re: 383 oil pan

The Milodon MIL-30902 is a 7 quart pan, it will clear the crossmember and come close to the headers, mild tweaking may be needed.

The Moroso MOR-20205 is simular to the Milodon.

Both do not have integral windage trays, but have baffles. You will also have to buy appropriate pick-ups for these pans since they are like 8 1/4 deep.

These are Summit part #s
