i was running the standard felpro .039 head gasket on my 383 11.3c.r with 150 shot, until my head gasket just blew car never runs hot and the heads where just milled and block was just decked and arp bolts i dont see any reason for them to blow but they did so what head gaskets are you guys running??

 

If ya don't rattle it they won't blow. Get your tune right.

 

I have run the Fel-Pro with 25lbs of boost and up to a 225hp nitrous shot w/o any problems. As LR suggests, you likely have a tuning issue.

how would a tune have to do with head gasket blowing? its not getting spark knock and its not running lean!

 

I run the Fel Pro .039s also with no problems...I'm N/A though..

I do believe what they are saying is at least part of that statement is wrong. otherwise you need to talk to your machinist or look into different fasteners and make sure you're tq'ing the bolts properly.

I run the fel-pro gaskets too on several different setups no problems blown juiced or n/a.

 

after more resreach i had the FEL-9966PT witch is just stock replacement and there like .051 thick.
