383 kit or buy it ready?

i knwo its more expensive to buy the motor ready. are they the same parts if i get the 383 ready to drop in?

It is not always more expensive to buy then build from scratch, especially with the high end parts. Browse the different LT1 forums - sometimes new or very low mile shortblocks are posted from people who bail out on their projects or change their minds.

Some killer deals are to be had if you have the patience.
