Doesn't Rick Abarre's car run 133.XX mph with a stock intake and TB?

What is the connection between a drag racing time and how a dyno graph looks like? Also, just because Rick's car has a stock intake and TB, doesn't mean he couldn't gain more power with porting. This is also dependent on the specific setup. Some cars won't gain or even lose (which is why he may have chosen to stick with that setup) from the above two mods, and others will gain.

Rest assured, it's not in the tune.

Nobody is bashing your tune. Relax.

The connection I insinuated is between the trap speed of a known mass and the calculated power it puts to the rear wheels, not a drag racing time and a dyno graph. Also, nobody will dispute that there may be more power to be had. What is disputable are the perceived limitations of the stock intake and 'maximum' power potential (as you stated, some gain, some don't). I do not believe the ceiling of the posters output is due to the intake manifold entirely. There is some suggestion in this thread that 450rwhp is within the upper threshold limit of the intake, and Rick's car proves this wrong.

Re: 383 Dyno results

First, thanks everyone for your kind words. It does feel good to see some good results after a lot of hard work.

Second, I dont claim to be an expert engine builder by any means, I just did a lot of homework before buying my parts. I had a plan for the car and put together a package that I felt would achieve my goals. My comment about the intake holding me back a little up top was not intended to be an excuse for anything. Those of us who were there determined that my particular setup would most likely benefit from a ported intake. I am still very happy with the numbers I put down.
