This is my ride........... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/268767

I'm in the process of putting my 94 back together after I destroyed the entire drive line at the MFBA track rental this spring. It'll be back on the road tomorrow night. I'll look for you at Cordova. Feel free to drop me a line and maybe I'll see you there.
I asked about Colona because there is a guy that works at
Transmisions Plus that races an f-body at Cordova. I am not too far from you (Milan)

Damn nice numbers! I can only hope for similar results. I also didn't port my intake to match my heads. I wonder how much HP we're losing because of it (if any negligible amount).

Congrats on a sweet combo!!

I took the car to Dan Mroz's shop in Merrillville, IN yesterday for Mad Z-28's dyno day. Despite the near 100 degree temps, we had a good day.

This was the first time I have had the car on a dyno so I didnt know what to expect. Ion had done a mail order tune on it last year, and it was almost dead on. He was so close that he only got about 6 more hp out of it through the dyno tune.

My car put down 429.99 RWHP and 417.66 RWTQ

1995 Z-28
fully forged 383 stroker
Scat crank, h-beam rods
SRP pistons
Comp 239/245 112 lsa cam
Comp 1.6 pro-magnum roller rockers
Advanced Induction full port LT1 heads
stock LT1 intake (ported for 58mm TB)
58mm AS&m throttle body
Meziere electric water pump
Jet Hot long tubes

Puttin' the power to the wheels through a t-56, street twin, alluminum drive shaft, and a Strange 12 bolt with 4.11's.

Nice numbers man, a friend of mine has a very similiar setup to yours that will be going on the dyno 7-14-05. Forged 383, comp solid roller 252/262 .635/.645 110lsa ( I think the ex. and int. duration are correct), comp. 1.6 pro magnums,Advanced indcution full port lt1 heads, stock lt1 intake ported for monoblade (not port matched to heads), monoblade, ewp, delteq ignition, 4.10's, 10-bolt, 42lb injectors, pacesetter lt's, racetronix fuel system.....were looking for 450rwhp

Re: 383 Dyno results

Yea man... I hope I can at least get 410rwhp with my 383 LE3 Setup... but stock TB/Gears (Thinking about asking Lloyd to port match my heads too)

Those are nasty numbers on a 12 bolt. Jesus... What kind of traps should this thing have?

Re: 383 Dyno results

Another 383/CC 306 combo that works well. Congrats on the numbers. What CR are you running? I think with another trip to the dyno and some final tuning I can get to 420-425 not that I have other problems resolved. I am at 10.7: witch is a fairly low CR for an LT1 but I wanted to stay concervative to keep my options open. I think the 306 is a great cam for these setups for the street I still get 16 MPG city 25 Hwy and drivability is about like the HC was in my 350. Again congrats and it sounds like Ion hit the tune on the head.

I think 450 will be tough to get with the stock intake N/A. He has a bigger cam than I do, but if you look at my dyno graph you can see it was pulling steady than just hit a wall on the top end. We determined that was because of the unported intake. Ion said if it were ported I could probably see another 10rwhp.

Static CR is 11.5 Just want to clarify... I am not using the comp 306. This is a grind that Combination Motorsports designed (239/245 112lsa roller).

I will be taking it to the track on the 15th for the first time. I am not expecting anything spectacular this time. I will be working on my launch and suspension set up mainly since I have never run the car with this setup. If the car hooks and goes straight then I will try to make a couple of good full runs.

The intake was supposed to be ported but AI forgot to do it, if the intake holds the car back it will pulled off and ported. It looks to me like your power falls off early, not sure if it's the intake or cam. The car needs a clutch now, i'm thinking a spec4 bc. there will be a 150-200 shot sprayed.

Yeah, Lloyd Elliot confirmed this for me; 10 RWHP somewhere in the top-end. I'm happy that I never lost much sleep in never getting my intake port-matched to my LE2 heads

Re: 383 Dyno results

Magnumv8, big congrats to you, in accomplishing some great numbers. Must feel good to achieve what was expected after many long hours of wrenching and headaches, and tuning huh? I hope to put down similar results. I am currently running a 383, and sent my AFR heads to LE for a full port job, and a custom cam from Bret. LE is also porting my manifold, so lets see what kind of results it nets. I still dont know in what range the cam will be in, but I am also a t56 12 bolt 4:11 man. haha.. But big ups to you...Now we just need to see some 1/4 times.!
