Smile 383 Dyno results

EDIT: Dyno graph now posted HERE. Just scroll down a little to see it. It isnt the best quality since I had to take a pic of the sheet since my scanner isnt working.

I took the car to Dan Mroz's shop in Merrillville, IN yesterday for Mad Z-28's dyno day. Despite the near 100 degree temps, we had a good day.

This was the first time I have had the car on a dyno so I didnt know what to expect. Ion had done a mail order tune on it last year, and it was almost dead on. He was so close that he only got about 6 more hp out of it through the dyno tune.

My car put down 429.99 RWHP and 417.66 RWTQ

1995 Z-28
fully forged 383 stroker
Scat crank, h-beam rods
SRP pistons
Comp 239/245 112 lsa cam
Comp 1.6 pro-magnum roller rockers
Advanced Induction full port LT1 heads
stock LT1 intake (ported for 58mm TB)
58mm AS&m throttle body
Meziere electric water pump
Jet Hot long tubes

Puttin' the power to the wheels through a t-56, street twin, alluminum drive shaft, and a Strange 12 bolt with 4.11's.

Those are some nice numbers! 430rwhp from an LT1 headed 383 is nice.

Congrats

the heads flowed 271/192

I dont drive the car very much, although it is VERY streetable. The car drives smooth with no cam surge, and pulls very hard.

Nice results. You're from the QC huh? Do I know you? Not sure if I've seen you at Cordova or not.

Nice numbers! Question: Did you get your LT1 intake port matched too or just ported for the larger TB?

Now that I'm far away, I just wanted to let you know that I intentionally detuned your car by 0.01 HP. Yea, I can be evil like that sometimes.

J/K. Great numbers! That cam sounded EXACTLY like mine in the 350, especially with the cutout open.

The computer that my scanner is hooked up to wont turn on, so I cant scan it right now. I will have to see if Dan can email it to me so I can post it.

The intake is untouched except for opening it up for the 58mm throttle body.

Nah, I don't work in Colona. I work in Davenport. I live in Aledo Ill.
This is my ride........... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/268767

I'm in the process of putting my 94 back together after I destroyed the entire drive line at the MFBA track rental this spring. It'll be back on the road tomorrow night. I'll look for you at Cordova. Feel free to drop me a line and maybe I'll see you there.

Re: 383 Dyno results

It was a DynoJet 248x. Numbers are SAE corrected.
