If you are asking me (TitoPR221), I took my block to my preferred machine shop for boring and decking, then I installed the rotating assembly. I received the heads this week. Next weekend I'll degree the cam and install the heads and measure the push rod to get the proper push rod length. By then I should have received the rest of the parts to put the engine together. It's a process, lots of patience and planning needed if you are doing it yourself, but it's more fun.

Yep, I am in the same boat that you are. After adding everything up, I am looking at $7500-$8000.
