377 stoker???

Hey I was wondering. CAn I put a 3.75 Crank in my LT1. With no boring of the block. AND keep stock rods. Would that make it a 377? Also what parts would I need. IM worried about pistons travling to high I guess. I really dont no too much about stroking a motor. But id rather not bore. I guess block thickness is good right?

yeah i wanted to save alittle money so i kept the stock bore. i used 4.00 probe racing pistons. they were the only forged piston in a 4.0 inch bore that wasnt custom order... i think there $350-$400 a set. real nice peices.. probeindustries.com

Does a 383 make much more power vs a 377? What are some of the pro's and cons? I'm considering doing this myself too.

in the interest of ring seal i'd probably have it bored 10 or 20 over. depending on your goals here, that'll open up a ton of piston choices for you relatively speaking. but skimping money for boring whats that average like $100 total... i have to seriously wonder if you know what you're getting into if you want to save on boring.

I'm with him. Last I checked around here boring was $10 a hole, so you save $80 there but then have a hard time finding pistons and maybe even have to pay more for pistons so what are you saving?
