3600 stall and hotcam

i just bought a vigilante 3600 stall for my car. Do you think its too big of a stall? my mods are:

Ported LT1 heads
SRP Forged Pistons
Hotcam
1.6 RR
pacesetter LT's
TSP true duals
Moser 12 bolt w/ 3.73's

PS- Yes i know the hotcam is small but its what the car came with so i want to see what i can get out of it.

It will be fine. A 4.30 gear would perk it up too.

Kind Of A Rule Of Thumb Is The Heavier The Car The Bigger The Converter....however Is There Is Such Thing As Getting "to Big"
The Converter You Have Should Work Great With The Car And The Setup You Have

That converter should be just fine. I had some ported heads, HOTcam and a 2800 stall for a while. I could tell that I needed a higher stall with that combo.

Same here. Sooner or later I'll be switching to a 3600.

ok, so i changed up my plans a tiny bit and here is what i have done so far.. Car is a few months away from running right now.

Ported heads
SRP Forged Pistons
Hotcam
1.6 RR
EWP
LTCC
pacesetter LT's & 3" ORY
Borla Catback
Moser 12 bolt w/ 4.10's
3600 stall & Built 4l60e
Adj tq arm, SFC's, QA1's, Adj panhard rod and LCA's
Prostars

I'm just looking to get a 7.9 N/A out of it in the 1/8th.. The car is going to be a pig so thats going to play a factor. The previous owner dynamatted parts of the car.

possible?

I ran faster than that with less mods; a hotcam kit, bowl blended heads (w/ 2.00/1.57 valves), 3600 Vig NITROUS converter, and SOME boltons. Shorty headers, stock suspension, full weight, stock bottom end, etc...

7.80's in the 1/8 but I don't remember the mph
12.28 @ 110 w/ 1.76 60ft.
11.33 @ 118 w/ 1.53 60ft. spraying 100 shot out of the hole

Like Sweetred95ta said, it shouldn't be a problem. Do you have the TA already or are you going to purchase it? Make sure to get the kind with its own crossbrace so it takes the front attachment point off the trans. I really like my Spohn, it's a little heavy but very well made.

There are people running that kind of stall on just bolt-on LT1s and they have absolutely no complaints.

one of the companies (cant remember which) actually recommends having a stall converter that is so many RPMS under your peak range, im not sure which tho, but it means that you should run a bigger converter, so i'd say your safe to go
