Re: 355, GM LT4 heads, solid roller. 476.04 rwhp.

Thanks everyone. There have been some 450 rwhp hyd roller cars. Non of them had my drivetrain setup though That 9" and 4.71s suck aways some dyno hp. But are great on the track

SAR2K..I think I can at least match my current record even in this crazy heat we have now. I will find out soon. When the cool weather gets back...its gonna dip way into the low 10s I hope. Set up me and the canadian guy..just make him brings lots of molsten(sp).

I added a graph to my first post. We could prolly do alittle more tuning but it was getting very late.

Oh..for those not wanting to go to my web site. Cam is a cam motion 255/263 duration @ 50 and with the 1.6 rockers lift is 690/661 on a 110 ls. I think the car wants more cam actually...and a tighter LS.

Thumbs up Re: 355, GM LT4 heads, solid roller. 476.04 rwhp.

It's good to see thngs finally coming together for you with this new combo. Can't wait to see the track numbers, I know they will be just as impressive, if not more so.

Vipretr..Thanks, I hope to make it to the track in the next week. Maybe friday. We are running 98 deg and about 90% humidity. Head index of about 110 so its really gonna be off from good air times. But..I still hope to set a new best.

SABLT194 - yes..this dyno session and tune is on pure pump gas. No mix..no nothing. Actually its about 2 month old pump gas in there. I just pulled up to the pump on the way to the track and threw in some 93 octain.

Are you still running the factory pcm or do you have a dfi? I am thinking of going with a combo similar to yours, but thought i would have to have a dfi and shaft mounted rockers to make it work.

Re: 355, GM LT4 heads, solid roller. 476.04 rwhp.

I upgraded to a DFI gen 7 setup. A stock pcm would be good to 7000 if that is where your power band is. I upgraded for a future build so I can go to 8000 or boosted application. My stock pcm made about the same hp..but the dfi was semi untuned and the stock pcm was tuned to the max. YOu can always build your motor and run stock pcm untill your able to upgrade or if you see the stock pcm won't do what you want it too.

I saw on your website that you're not using shaft mounted rockers. How often do you have to adjust your valve lash? One more question, what kind of crank are you running. I'm coming into some money and would love to have the power you're putting down.

Great numbers, but the 9" prolly isn't eating up much power compared to say a 10 bolt or a 12 bolt because your 9" has a spool

Re: 355, GM LT4 heads, solid roller. 476.04 rwhp.

Rje..I'm running shaft mounts now. Just haven't updated the web site. Crank is stock. When I didn't have the shaft mount rockers I ran the valves about once a year.

Bunker..I lost HP when I went form stock rear to 9" with a locker...I lost more hp when I went from a locker/w.57s to spool/4.71s. Granted this is all dyno hp so who cares..the car was faster.
