Sorry but the LT1 is not a 350 cubic inch motor, it is a 349.

5.7L x 61.025 = 347.8425 cu.in. I don't do dope. For all practical purposes, it's a 350. Conversion factors here.

I would say that we are both right there. I didn't know what he exact volume was although it can vary from car to car depending on what pistons or head work or even rod length is.

Displacement does not vary with rod length.

Displacement is defined as a function of bore and stroke, and does not vary with piston type (unless "type" happens to mean something other than stock bore) or head work. You can only change "displacement" by changing bore or stroke.

4.00 bore X 3.48 stroke = 349.85ci = 5.733 liters

When displacement is stated in terms of "three significant figures", it is correct to round it to "350".

Well I'm learning something new every day here. Thanks. But, doesn't rod length affect stroke? And, wouldn't piston height also? I'm not a master mechanic so please explain.

No, rod length does not affect stroke. It affects how high the top of the piston is when it is at the top of the stroke. Piston "height"???? Do you mean a "dome" or "dish".... if so, the answer is no. Does not affect displacment. Affects compression ratio.

The only thing that causes the piston to move up and down in the bore is the "throw" on the crankshaft. That determines stroke. Nothing else. For any particular stroke length, you have to match the crank throw + rod length + wrist pin height to put the top of the piston exactly where you want it, but neither the length of the rod or the location of the wrist pin will affect displacement.
