350 LC on a budget

would it be possible, to build a LC 350 with forged pistons(rods if money allows) for a turbo. how much should this cost. trying to decide weather or not i should put the turbo on the stock motor, or take the car off the road now and build it over the winter.

Steve,

You could always pull the heads and have the combustion chamber sized up a bit and/or put in a thicker head gasket. How much PSI are you planning on running? You should be fine with a stock engine if your conservative, do you have a MSD boost contoller box to pull timing? maybe look into one of those to be safe.

Re: 350 LC on a budget

as of right now i have just the kit, and fmic. i was told i should put new gaskets in the top end to be safe since i have to fix the intake oil leak anyways. i would be looking at 5psi with an FMIC to go with it. i will be smart and leave it a 5 to. i will get software and any other things that will help keep **** safe so its done right.
