350 in a 93 Camaro

My friend wants to sell me his 350 engine for my 93 Z28 Camaro
I know somethings about engines but not much...
this is what he told me over the phone
is it worth $1500?

Bored 80 over
headers
turbo 350 trans
over sized heads (191s or something like that )
Eldebrock Carb 600 cfm
Eldebrock performer intake
over sized cam

Tell me what you think

Thanks!

.080 over is pushing it i would say, that means it probaly has been re built a number of times, assuming it has stock iron heads you would be better off staying with the lt1. It will make more power and be more fuel efficient. Droping in a carbed motor is also a bit of work clearancing for the distributor and whatnot. Its just not worth it in this case, now if it was a nasty 15* headed smallblock making 800 hp maybe, but not here

Is it an LT1, or a Gen 1 SBC?

Does your current engine need replacement or are you just looking for something different? Personally, I think it may be more trouble then it is worth.

My car has about 95,000 miles on it, I was just wondering in case it blows up one day and he just mentioned it and I was curious. It is an LT1, his engine is just a basic V8 350, and yes it was bored out 70 over originaly.

THANKS

For what it would cost you to get that carbed 350 in your car, you could buy a new LT-1 and come out ahead.
