Are 30 lb injectors too much for heads/cam combo?

If I upped the psi to 56psi, then is it like running 30lb/.hr on 45psi? Is there a conversion so I can tweek my fuel pressure?
Here's an easier way to do it than what Fred said. No thinking involved.

hmm, interesting post...i'm having some issues too..have my mods on my sig, but stock injectors...i've noticed that my top end power is LACKING...4k to 6.5k rpm is weak.

injuneer, i have a question about your suggestion to increase the psi on the fuel lines...HOW do i accomplish that? get a new pump? what's the downside to increasing fuel line pressure? any extra stress on the pump?

i've been considering getting 30 lbs, since at jeg's they're $199.

please advise.

To increase the fuel rail pressure, within reason, all you need is an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. When you try to do that with 400HP or greater, you probably need to upgrade the pump. Either a new, higher capacity in-tank pump, or an inline booster pump. I run two 205LPH Bosch fuel pumps in parallel.... one in the stock in-tank location, and the other off a sump added to the rear of the stock tank. The fuel system always runs at 58psi, but needs only one pump for 500HP NA. The 2nd pump switches on with the nitrous system.

thanks for the reply. i'm making ~380rwhp, so i'm not quite at your level...lol

but, any suggestions on a specific brand fuel regulator? i was under the assumption that fuel regulators were used to DECREASE pressure, not increase it...

any idea on how much one would run for an LT1?

any possible problems that might arrise from the use of such a device?

thanks.

At 380 rwhp I really dont see the need for an AFPR. You can raise or lower the pressure with it though most of the time people are raising the pressue to lower the DC of their injectors.

well, i'm planning on having a dyno session on tuesday, so i'll have a better understanding of my motor, but the issue i have right now is the fact that it's lacking some power in the top end...
it's supposed to be a fast revving motor, and after about 4500rpm it's not doing a good job of that.

i'm also gonna get a 52mm TB to give it more air...but, first, i'll dyno it.
