3 quick questions...pics inside

Number one: Is this the knock sensor that is broken off in my head here?

Number two: Is this gasket on the throttle body top ok to stick out a little bit. I cannot get that sucker to go in any more. Also is it supposed to be all stretched out inside? Its not cracked or ripped.

Number three: Can anybody possibly guess what kinda springs these are. I know that they can handle atleast a .540 lift if not more. They look to be blue. Just a long shot guess. I'm curious as I just bought these heads with springs already on.

Thanks for all the help......

The springs look like a Comp spring. The only way to tell is put them on a spring pressure tester and see what they read at two heights like 1.800 and 1.200

If you want to get that gasket on, get out a Torx wrench and take that plate off and that should make it much easier.

The broken sensor is not a Knock sensor, it should be a water/coolant temp sensor.

To expand on what Bret said, its the sensor in the driver's side head which controls the position of the temperature gauge on the instrument cluster. It does not interface with the PCM, that sensor is in the waterpump.

My gasket on the TB top plate, did the same thing. I bought a new one, and still even then it was not perfect. No problems, at all, as long as you tighten down the rubber in some sequence to get a nice clamp. That gasket comes with one other gasket and is in expensive.

What do you think my car is going to run like. It will have all the items in the sig. I'm waiting on 30lbs svo's as well, after I get them both I will send the computer for programming. Everybody (almost) breaks that coolant sensor. I did, bought a new one at O'Reily for ~$6. That t.b. gasket is also a common problem. You can buy a new one or just remove it completly and use just tad of sealant on the perimeter of the top plate. All the gasket material on the inside is not necessary, just seal the perimeter and your good.
