4.10's in a m6 gets getter gas millage than a a4!! As far as traction i get good traction with 4.10s, it spins halfway thro 1st then bites and im gone and im running in the area of 13.2's-13.4's, on the axle comment when i run the 8th i ran bfg drags and made 4 passes launching at 2000-3000, my rear stayed in but maby its stuborn and wants to hang on. thats my .02
