285/40 onthe front???

I have some 285s on the back, will they fit up front?

I'm getting 2 new front tires, so I want to take the fronts and burn the tread off on the back, but that means i'm having 285 up front for about a week

They might hit sooner when you turn the wheel fully and then jounce the suspension. Try it. Just watch it on driveways and parking.

Have fun burning off the tread!

One of my friends has 17x10" wheels with 285/40/17's all the way around. I haven't asked him if he has any rubbing issues, but I know 285's will fit.

I've had 285/40/17s on all fours for about three years. There is no rubbing. My car is oem ride height and not lowered. I think they are a little too big for up front and I will probably go back to 275's when this set wears out just for the appearance and the opinion there is no benefit in having 285s up front to justify the added cost and weight of 285s
