Are 275/40/17's ok on the front of a lowered car?

yeah Spinner, I'm considering 315's for my next tire purchace also. I was over at the auto cross site and it seems as if a bunch of those guys run 'em. You need the adjustable panard bar though. Plus wider rims, like 11 x 17's. In fact with my obsessive personality why not 335's? After all I do own a torch....

they are for the rear. Jounce bump spacer is slp's way of saying 'extended bump stop'. Goes inbetween the frame and the bump stop for the axle.
My car was actually ok until i put on the adj panhard rod, then it started rubbing when it bottomed out. I had 275 bfg comp tas (which are a lil wider then my 275 nittos are) on a 9.5" enkei win. I didn't like the idea of limiting the suspension travel any more, but it's better then buying new tires when the fender shaves a groove into one.

Good dry traction....great wet traction.
275/40/17's mounted on 17x9.5" Y2k chrome rims. They don't rub at stock height and I'm thinking 285's next time I replace them. Can't comment on a lowered car, but it's hardly a tight fit on OE springs.
