^he's right. Almost every NA LT1 I've ever seen or heard of making those numbers is a SR setup.

haha, your case of beer is safe.

With LE3 heads and an LE2 cam, would it be fine to spray/

Yeah... if you are going to do even bigger shots of N2O then you can ask Lloyd for a LE2 N2O cam, but the standard one is fine to spray.

Didn't say anything about a "Stock" intake,now did I.
I said the heads would flow 300+,and Lloyd don't do the things to his heads to make um flow that because of cost. You guys wouldn't pay what it cost to make it happen on stock castings.
FYI neither car has a stock style intake and make in the high 400- low 500 range. They both have mech rollers also.

To my knowledge, when quoting/talking port flow-- stock casting's mean the factory head's.
Ya can take 12-15% off of the head flow with the stock intake bolted on.An off the shelf sheet metal is approximately 8-10% unless ya get a Wilson or have one custom made. The Victor type intake is app 8-10% unless it has been well worked over. I have seen sheet metal intakes that didn't loose but 3% but they were special one of and very pricey-- It was a Wilson.I have a Wilson intake that doesn't loose but 3%--ain't cheap and he said it would outflow one of his prepared Super Victor's and it isn't sheet metal.

Maybe with some worked over AFR's

The thing that I don't understand is, 550bhp means ~470rwhp (with %15 drivetrain loss).. At Golen's website http://www.golenengineservice.com/html/lt1_lt4.html you can see 520bhp with 396cid 236/242 camshaft and 200cc Trick flow heads (heads were 195cc AFRs, but he changed the package)

520bhp = 442rwhp (%15 loss) And you say with much bigger heads and much bigger cam its impossible to see 470rwhp??

Lots of people think like that okay I'm wrong, but explain to me please

Bigger the head's and cam and intake the more HP if ya got the compression A really good 396 in race trim should make 750+FWHP on motor.
The drivetrain loss for an auto is about 18%.For a stick it is about 10%. Some will argue that but it is a good rule of thumb.
550FWHP is not hard to make with a 383 and a mech roller, with good heads, cam, compression, and intake,on pump gas.Ya can almost get there with a hyd roller.

In one of the earlier posts, Joe stated a tighter LSA would be good in a supercharged application. As that is contrary to what I've always heard, can you (Joe) or someone else explain this?
Thanks!
