230/236 cam track #'s

Got some numbers after putting a cam in the ole' LT1 a couple of weeks ago. The car is still full bolt ons with a cam only (230/236 .545 .555 112 lsa)

I launched at 5900 rpm and my shift light was set to 6100 rpm but I think I'm gonna raise that to 6200 next time. I got a littlel bit of spin on the lauch but not much.

60'-1.73
1/8- 7.80
MPH-90.0
1/4-12.20
MPH- 114.2

Its getting there, I think that its still got more in it though.

This was at capitol raceway in Crofton, Md

I had a local tuner do it on a mustang dyno.

I never found too many people that posted numbers with this cam so I figured I'd throw them out there for research.

Damn good numbers! That's almost identical to the cam in my LS1 (230/236 .551/.551 112).

How's the driveability? I might look into something like that for my LT1...

This is my first cammed car but I think its still really driveable. Its a little of a pig off idle but the drivablity tune wasnt finished compleately.

You think the 60' is good, I really want to be cutting like 1.65's at least

I've got Moser 12bolt w/ spool & 4.11, spohn lca's, chromoly sfc's, and QA1 R's w/ 300lb springs. I dont have a front swaybar either. I think I can get the 60' time down some with a set of rear shocks. My budget it tight so I might just use comp engineering shocks.

I've gone 12.32 @ 114 with the cc503 (224/230 .503/.510) so it doesn't look like there is much gain with the 230/236 with stock heads. I'm sure once you port the heads there will be a bigger difference.
