230/236 cam.

hello i have a question well after my 230/236 cam install along with lloyd's heads my car around 2200 -2400rpm if your driving you sort of feel little "surging" is the only way to describe it their is no loss of power or misses is this maybe the way this cam drives? could it be my stock fuel pump(i do have 30lb injectors) maybe someone with this cam and a 6 speed could tell me if this is normal. i had my car programmed by pcmforless. thanks

Cam surge. Big cams generally dont like low rpm cruising.

Talk with Bryan and see if he can program it some more. Let him know what it is doing.

A custom program should take care of that.

My car surged pretty bad with the XE230/236 about 1800-2000 rpms.

I received another board members custom tune and uploaded it and it has worked great.

I have a pretty god dyno tune on mine. It doesn't surge much at all. Usually it will surge around 1500-1800 or so. Keeping it above 2000 solves that problem. I am having problems with an exhaust leak at the collector, which seems to exacerbate the surging problem.

SamI have a mail order which works about the same as yours (1500-1800rpm has slight surge), but iots fine after that.

Bes.... You are correct, but maybe he needs to make some adjustments to it.

My car doesn't surge at all now.
