Talking 224/230 1.6rr p&p head swap finished

well it took a lot of time to get the money and parts together but its finally done. took about 15hrs of work by myself to do but i took my time and it started the first try. it doesn't lope as much as i thought it would but it still sounds mean thru the open shorties. i don't have a lt4 km or a tune yet but it still runs better than it did before.

i'm sure it has alot of knock retard with the open headers and the new 1.6RRs.

does anyone know if it will lope any crisper when i get the km and tune?

track times soon to come

p.s. thanks for all the help i've got from you guys. it gave me the confidence to do the job without being to worried about screwing something up.

Does it sound like this? http://www.madz28.com/files/firehawk.mov

Mine lopes pretty good...it also depends on where your idle is set also. Mine is through an cut-out, mid length headers, and stock cat.

so far i am having some tuning issues or something with my car..its running rich...smells like alot of gas while running. im getting it dynoed on a dynojet next saturday..so hopefully ill have a good chart to send to Ion this time.

Mine lopes pretty good as well. Prior to Ion's tuning, it was loping more and dumping tons of fuel. After the tuning, it purrs like a kitten.

If hes having a hard time with your 93 and a 224/230 prehaps you can give me a try, I've got some really nice base files for that camshaft, theres a shop that uses us that uses that cam in just about everything they do.. It is a nice performer.
