Re: 2 questions

If you do either of these I would not recommend driving your car. You can start it ,but try not to see any boost. If you boost it wile driving . Your fuel will be all over the place most likely lean when you see boost, and your timing will be wrong for boost pressure.

Re: 2 questions

If you do bring a freind with a shovel and a wheelbarrow to pick up the peices (in answer to either question)

The tune can only be bandaided by an FMU and timing retard along with colder plugs that is with a very very healthy pump. The pump cannot be bandaided around after it reaches it's limit.

Re: 2 questions

are you forgetting that you have to forge your engine or you will have a turbo chassis and thats about it. also your rear end may need to be replaced

you need:

forged crank
forged pistons
forged rods

driveshaft
rearend 12bolt or 9"
beefed up tranny
ect............

some you can slack on but if you want to do it right then your looking at more than just 1300 for your turbo setup.

Re: 2 questions

That all depends on how much boost and how much pwr hes running, (a4) deff need a beef up, but ne thing past 400 rwtq u need a rear end, end of story!

Vortec has been running FMU set up's for years. They build um and sell um they should know what will work.
Run plenty of FMU's on Fords with no problems if set right.
A dyno tune will net more HP and get everything set right including the FMU and A/F ratio.
