2 bolt to 4 bolt

I'm thinking of getting a set of the 4 bolt caps for my 2 bolt LT1. How much machine work is it to install ? I found an Eagle set for $89 are they OK?.
I would like to run more nitrous but I'm a little worried about the 2 bolt letting go. How much do you think it will cost when I'm done. parts and labour

Typical total cost is $400-500. This includes parts and machining costs.

Is this something I should bring to a lt1 specific shop or can I bring it to any good machine shop. I'm north of the border so there is not many f-body shops to chose from and there not cheap. I was told if not done right the block can easily be wrecked.

Any competent machine shop can do it. They are the same as a standard small block chevy.

It's usually $500 plus the cost of the caps because after the outer holes are drilled and tapped the mains have to be align bored and align honed and the labor for all of that usually eats up $500. I like Pro Gram billet main caps myself.

When I built my motor it was $300 Labor to have it done. Its going to be a major pain in the *** unless you already have the motor out and torn down for some reason.

Cost me $500.

Eagle caps are fine, there are other choices which one's are the best is up for debate.

I have heard bad things about eagle cranks, but never their main caps.
