2.73 gear swap

Exclamation 2.73 gear swap

i have a 96 z28 a4. with 2.73 gears. i would like to change them to 3.42 gears for the 2 series carrier. do i need a new abs reluctor or any thing else to do this. any info is appreciated.

I don't believe you'll need to get a new reluctor ring since you wont be changing the carrier.

As stated above you will not need a new reluctor gear unless your old one is bad or you change to a series 3 carrier.

I just did this switch from a 2:73 to 3:73, make sure you buy a series 2 ring and pinion or you'll have to buy a spacer for it to workwith the series 2 carrier. The only thing i had to buy where a shim kit and spacer.

What spacer are you referring to?? All you need is a shim kit.
