1997 Z-28 problems

My girlfriend has a problem with her Camaro. What is happening is that when she is going slow, or if she is idling then the car will drop to about 5-600 rpm, and then the car will die. Every time it dies, the computer is reset. What is going on with her car? Is it the computer or is something clogged, or what. Please help!

Is there a check engine light on or any codes that you can pull?

Do you mean that the PCM loses the learned long term fuel corrections, and erases the stored trouble codes? If so, it would indicate that the PCM is losing power, which would cause the engine to stall.
