1997 ss intake

Is it true that a stock ss intake will only accept up to a twin 52mm tb and not a 58 unless you have your intake ported

That's true for all LT1 intakes, but you can port them out to take a 58mm or a monoblade.

Actually, I believe they'll take up to a 54mm tb without boring. I know that ASM makes one.

It will accept 54mm. I've had my TB ported/polished and used on stock intake and it fit fine, you need it ported for any bigger or monoblade.
