Question Pro-Billet Distributor- Or just cap and rotor?

Is it worth getting the whole new MSD Pro-Billet Distributor ($500), or should I just get an MSD cap and rotor ($150)?

Its a '97 Trans Am with about 75.5 k miles on it

Thanks

With 75k on the clock, I would spring for a new one. Otherwise yank it off and see what it needs. Mine had 30k and looked like new inside except the cap - the bearing was smooth and I just went with the cap & rotor.

IMO cap and rotor BUT I will not yet say it is an upgrade over stock. Not enough of them out there for long enough for them to be proven even equal to stock. I say this as someone who has the MSD cap and rotor on one of his LT1s. I am just objective, I will try new parts but I will not proclaim them good till they prove it. The couple thousand miles I have on my cap and rotor are more than most will have sofar and they replaced a perfectly functional 77K stock set just because they were coming off anyway.
