The lt1 wont start! Heres what happend and why I need some serious help! I have a 1996 Impala, It has about 200,000 miles, so the original engine blew up! so I went to a bone yard and bought a LT1 from a 1995 trans am. Now that I installed the 1995 lt1 the car wont start, it just turns and turns and turns! Ive been reading and I guess its something to do with the cam position sensor that the 1995 engine does not have.... remember im using the 1996 pcm, i read that its looking for the cam sensor. is this true? I dont want to tare apart the engine isit easier to just buy a 1995 pcm for the 1995 lt1? WILL THE CAR START WITH THE 1995 PCM ? ANY SUGGESTIONS? WHERE IS THE CAM POSITION SENSOR? IS IT IN THE OPTI, DISTRIBUTOR?

 

This is LS1 Tech, not LT1 Tech.
