I have a 95 z28 6speed and i installed headers long tubes pacesetters couple of days ago and i started to get code 41 on my car i know this code is related to the ICM or cam sensor or open circuit
When i put theaders i broke the temp gage sensor and i didnt put one in yet and i also took off the o2 sensors due to reach till i extend them.
One more thing there was a wire between the ground and the old exhaust manifold i didnt connect. Could that be the reason to get open circuit code?

I doubt it. Follow the troubleshooting chart on 41_2. That should help out, however if the problem is intermittent, that could be more of a challenge.

 

the thing is that the code comes out after about 10-15 min i tried to turn the car of and turn it the code went away for about the same time. i tested the voltage on it was fine it was 4.8V so the ICM is fine
it is confusing me and now i started to get a lifter knocking sound some times depends on the cars mode
all that killed my happiness after the headers

 

i just finished fixing my car i found the starter wire is hitting the headers and 2 spark plugs wires also hitting them on both side it damaged my starter i put all the sensors back in and the car felt like a monster i never felt it like this before it was awsome to drive
