Welcome to the board. The tech forums are a good place to look for such answers. In my experience, a tranny with 100k that is starting to slip can generally benefit from a rebuild/freshening...

The 94 has the 4L60E electronically controlled trans. There are trouble codes for several tranny problems, including the solenoids. But the codes do not turn on the SES light, so you need to get it scanned to see if there are any codes. That leads to the next problem - finding a reasonably priced OBD-I scanner. You can't flash the codes on the SES light by shorting the ALDL pins, starting in 94. There is free scanning software available, if you want info on that.

Re: 1994 camaro z28 NEED HELP

I received your PM. When I asked what you were talking about, you gave me a link to your "blog" page. That's not the way things work. You post all the info in this thread, so that people can help you.

ok i have a 1994 camaro z28 it runs great and everything. I have the auto trans (4l60e) it just started to slip really bad one day so thats when i stop to drive it. Could it be a sensor or something? It is only 3rd gear the rest of them are fine. PLEASE HELP
I pretty much answered this question with my post, above. You need to have it scanned for codes.
