1993 Mac Header Review...

Well, I'm finally done with my install. Thanks in large part to feedback on this board. I do have one note that I hope may help others in regards to the unique 1993, and some other thoughts...

-the 93s don't use a seperate inlet for the EGR tube, the gasses go straight from above cylinder 8 and there is only one AIR input. However on the 1993 specific MAC headers, although the cylinder 8 bung is in the right place, the EGR tube for the 94+ cars is still welded on. I needed to plug this on my own since it has no purpose on my car.

-It's a major pain, but the tube on #8 needs to go in before bolting on the header.

Now for the good stuff...

-The sound through my ORP and Edelbrock catback is a lot deeper now, much more refined. It's almost perfect for me.

-SOTP-wise, it feels much smoother on acceleration.

-My y-pipe did not fit at all. It was off by 1/2" to one collector. Fixing this shifted the exhaust, which caused me to have to fab some brackets to use the first exhaust mount bracket.

Despite the project taking 1 month (weekends), it was well worth it.
