1993 Injector Replacement

I have searched and can't find an answer to this question, so I thought I would post up herer. I am going to need to replace the injectors in the 1993 LT1 I am swapping into another vehicle, and did not know if any other year's injectors were compatable.

I am aware the 93 is batch fire and later models are sequential, but can I use a later year model injector in the 93 motor?

Thanks!

Ed

Yes you can. Be aware that the flow ratings are different. 93s used 22#/hr injectors where 94-97 used 24#/hr.

All LT1 injectors were dimensionally the same, but as stated earlier, the flow rating is different.
I'm using 30# Accel injectors in mine.

Ok, maybe a stupid question, but since I don' t know the answer, I'll ask it anyway.

Stock 93 LT1, bored 30 over, will the 24# per hour injectors feed too much fuel?

probably not...You might need to have the chip reburnt for the 24#'s, though.

I have 42# SVO injectors in my 93, but expecting bigger and better things in the future. The 93 only has a COMP CAM and JH LT's. PCMFORLESS did the tuning and the A/F is now Perfect!

I agree with the previous post, it is too risky to make that type of change and not dyno with an A/F ratio. My stock injectors were bad and the A/F was 18-1, Mike Norris of Norris Motor sports shut it down to save the motor while it was on the dyno.

All you have to do in the ECM is change the injector constant.

I went all the way up to 42's without changing anything in the computer except the injector constant. It automatically scales down all the fuel tables to compensate.
