was the 150mph speedo an option in 94 Z28s?

I'm looking into buying a 1994 Z28 and the speedo only goes to 110 i think. I've been in quite a few other Z28s and all of them went to 150+. Was it an option? Thanks alot

I always thought it was standard in all z28's. I've personaly never seen one that only goes to 110mph.

My 94 formula had the low speedo. It has to do with what tires came on the car from the factory (speed rating)

if the car did NOT have Z rated tired, it hsad the 110, if it had the optional Z rated tires, it had the 150

110 spedo also means it has 2.73's right? (I know you can still have 2.73's and a 150 spedo, but you also have Z Rated Tires)

I'm the original owner of a 94 vert Z. It came, as most verts did, without the Z rated tires. It's an M6 with 3.42 rear and a 110 MPH speedo.

Just so you know, if it's got the 110 speedo, then it's also got the speed limiter.

I haven't seen a Z28 yet that hasn't had the 150 speedo. Doesn't mean it can't happen though. There are some strange options with these cars. Some got this others got this. Some have this, but not that.... you get the idea.

Its really pretty clear. You got the 110MPH speedo, unless you bought some option that included the Z-rated tires. Not so stange. I've seen 94 Z28's, Formulas and T/A's with both speedos.... the 110MPH is fairly common.

I have the 110mph, but it's no big deal. 150mph clusters can be found for sale without too much trouble, then it's just a simple swap and a trip to the odometer shop. Plus you can get the cool digital odometer if you find a 97, I believe.
