15" weld wheels

Ok i have a set of weld 15 x 8" rears and 15 x 3.5" on front on my nova. I want to use these on my 93 camaro. Y do u need spacers on the front wheels (3.5's)? What does the spacer do? Also is a 4.5" backspacing for the rear not enough? I need a 5.5 at least rite? What needs to be done to the back to fit welds on and y? Im confused. Never owned a 4th gen before only 3rd. Thanks guys

the spacer keeps the wheel from smashing the breaks.

4.5" will make the wheel stick out. sometimes the rear calipers need to be ground down to clear the wheels.

The 15" Weld Pro-Stars and DragLites will hit the large horizontal bar on the steering knuckle..... the one that the front edge of the caliper and the pads rests on. You could grind the end of the bar down, but then you run the risk of the brakes running off the edge of the bar when you run a fresh/thick set of pads.

The center disc of the wheel will also catch on the spring clip that holds the outer pad in the caliper.

Most people run 5.5" BS with a 15x8 wheel, and 7.5" BS with a 15x10 wheel. If you click on the "Trailer queen...." link in my signature, you will see where the wheels/tires will sit with either of those setups. With a 4.5" BS the wheels will move 1" further out from the fender.

Thanks....

A couple other shots to illustrate where the 15x10 7.5BS or 15x8 5.5BS wheels will sit....
