I bought my current Z28 from my brother who used to run 150 shot on the car. He ran a best of 12.15@115.6 w/ a best mph of 117.1 with Edebrock shorties, CAI and BFG DR's.

I leave the line @ 2200 RPM and make 450 rwtq and cut 1.6's.

But every car is different.

IMO, the BFG Comp T/A's were better than the SZ50's and the DR's were a little better than the Comps. Tire pressure makes a big difference. Go too low on a street tire and you'll smoke them off the line. Also try experimenting with tire pressure that's different on one side. Pump up the fronts to max psi for your tire. Good luck!

i've never experimented with tire pressure but i do like my BFG Comp T/A's. i'm running 255s all the way around and cut a 2.102 60' on these babies and they're less than half tread! oh and by the way, my car is completely stock and that is the best 60' i've seen a stock Z do at this particular track...it helps that i have 2.73 gears though, traction is really not an issue unless the track is slick.

New best in sig. On regular Nitto 555's...Dropped them to about 20 psi, seemed to work best.

i'm not familiar with the nitto 555's...are those drag radials?
i seen some nice looking nittos in a friend's import tuner magazine. they listed for under $100 per tire in our 245-50-16 size. i'll probably end up going with comp t/a again but those were some very nice looking tires.

I've run a 13.1 @ 109 with Goodyear Eagles. Ran a best of 13.3 at 106 with my old Kumho Ecsta Supra's. I think I could have run just as fast on the Supras as the Eagles, my driving skill just improved.

Good Luck!
You run a 13.3 with just cai and headers?

My buddy ran a 13.58 with a 2.0 sixty foot in his cai and Borla full optioned 94 Z28 A4 3.23, so 13.3 with headers doesn't sound to far off.

Larry at Speed Inc. (where I work), went 11.4 at 120 with (I think) about a 1.7 60ft on 20 INCH regular Nitto radials. This was with a naturally aspirated 383 and a T400.

Theyre regular radials. The 555r's are the DR's. They were $171ea I think, In my 275/40/17's. Great f'n tire.
