12SCNDZ Need your help Please
Re: 12SCNDZ Need your help Please
Mac mids for 95 and below, single cat systems, have the O2 bungs very very close to the stocker locations. No extensions needed. Also, the connector is a flat type on our O2's. The square type connectors are for the later models. I've got the same basic system as 12scndZ does. The MAC's are very good headers for ground clearence, fit/finish, and decent flow (not long tube territory). Heck, I'll have a set for sale here pretty soon myself
I just gotta get the long tubes first...
There is a third O2 bung on the Y-pipe on my car that came with a plug in it. I've found it a very helpful place to put a wide band O2 in. Pretty convenient, but I don't know if they are all like that of if I got lucky...

Actaully i did search but i couldnt' find anything about 02 simulators for a 95 (because their aren't any) and i didnt know that. Also i typed in mac headers and read all the posts about them and even read a few of them several times, because i like to review stuff well before i buy.... and if i still don't understand something or see it anywhere then i ask questions because that's what these boards are for.

I just finished the install, and now have an exhaust leak that I haven't had a chance to track down yet. I'll report back whether the leak was their fault or mine as soon as I can figure out where it's coming from. It feels a little stronger than before, but I haven't really tested it out yet. I also haven't installed the LT4 knock module, which would help prevent knock retard and thus further increase performance.
Since everything isn't completely finished, I can't really say how it mine have turned out, but everyone else on the board seems very satisfied with theirs.
I got mine coated from Jet-hot. Here's a link to the thread detailing my install:

Damn...I almost missed this thread....Should've just PMed me
My car is a '93, which means I only have (2) O2 sensors. I'm using factory '93 sensors in both of them.
As for emissions...I passed by a farther margin than most new cars. That was with the MAC's with all emissions hooked up, CC305, and ported heads. I have a swapppable cat and ORP. The swap takes me about 20 minutes to make it completely legal.
MAC performance? 12.0 @ 112 MPH with 95,000 mile bottom end, in a full weight '93Z with a stock suspension.
Yup, I'm happy with them. As a matter of fact, the MACs are going on the new nitroused, 6" rod, 12:1 compression, 847 cammed 355.
