Talking 12SCNDZ Need your help Please

Ok 12SCNDZ i need your help once more with mac headers. Or anyone who can help me for that matter i just know that 12SCNDZ has the same setup im going for so i know he can assist me. Ok im just going to get the 94/95 Mac headers with offroad pipe. Now what i need to know is do i need 1 or 2 o2 sims? and do i need o2 extensions. If i do are they flat or square connectors on a 95. Also where can i get sims for a 95 i've seen them for 96's and up. Is their anything else that i need? Im also get some felpro gaskets.

As soon as i get all this figured out im going to be ordering my headers yay.

Ps.I will still pass my smog test right? I don't have a cam or anything and they don't do a visual inspection.

i thought the headers themselves had provisions for O2's. i know you can request them... There needs to be one O2 from the R header and one O2 sensor from the L header, but I may be wrong...

you may need an O2 expension for mid-length headers, depending on where the O2's will go. For 93-95 LT1's, there are only 2 O2's, and they are used, so do not use O2 sims if youre pre-96

I have an extra 12" O2 extension that is in perfect shape.(used it for about 7 days) It's the flat 4 pin style for the front O2's. If you need it, PM me. You might need it for the drivers side. I'll sell it to ya for $11 shipped.

Re: 12SCNDZ Need your help Please

The 96 and up cars have O2 sensors after the cats since they are OBD2. Your's is an OBD1 car and only has O2 sensors before the cats, so you won't need simulators. I think the MAC headers keep the O2 sensors pretty close to the stock location from what I've seen so I don't think you'll need extensions. If you get an offroad pipe with no cats you are taking a big chance if you have to smog it. Some people pass some don't.

So you don't think i'll pass smog? I thought guys were running cam's and offroad pipes and passin emissions? If not i can just buy mac's y-pipe and hook my stock cat up to it.

O-well i'll just have to buy a mac y-pipe before my emissions. I don't have them for like another 9 months anyway.

I just installed the MAC's on my 94, and the stock O2 connectors reached without an extension, but every car can be a little different. The O2 bungs for both sides are in the collector of the header itself, not in the Y-pipe, so they are not too far from the stock location. Good luck.
