An OBD-II style connector is 16 pin (cavities).

The 95 has a 16-pin connector. Shoebox's Tech Pages have a guide for connecting an OBD-I scan tool to the 16-pin connector.

Re: 12 pin connector?

I would not use any adaptation for programming purposes, but ok for scanning.
