Comp lobes 3192/3194

They are overall smaller than the 3314/3315 lobes that make up the original XE224/230 but they still have the same duration at 0.50" lift. Combine that cam with 1.50 RRs and good valvesprings like the 918 beehives and it should be awesome on the street. Put it on a 106 ICL which is supposed to optimum for a SBC from what Ive read which would be 110*+4*advance... could even go 108* like others have suggested and I dont think youd sacrafice any driveability.

Or another fun combo would be the 3119/3111 lobes with 1.5 rockers. It would be a less radical for the street and your valvetrain noise would go down as well as help valvetrain wear. The combinations are endless... but dont go with a boring XE 224/230 unless you are getting a killer deal on it.
319X series stuff aint small bro.

This pole is a lot closer than I thought. I'm curious to see why people are picking the 112 LSA versus the 110 LSA. I don't recall seeing any of the people's explanations on why they voted for the 112 LSA.

Less duration than the XE series but more lift... more radical but smaller lobes I thought.

I originally went with the CC XE 236/242 on a 110lsa. With a MadWolf tune it idle just like stock! I pulled good through the middle of the rpm range but after 3500rpm is just pulled like a ****! If I would have known that it was soo streetable I would have gone bigger. Btw its for sale since I went with a blower.

Only reason I can come up with is EFI cars dont like a lot of valve overlap... thus picking a 112 over the 110 will help tuning efforts especially at idle.

Bret, do they make a 1.7 SA rocker?

Does who??? Comp No. Most of the 1.7 rockers out there are full bodied aluminum designs and they can have problems trying to turn RPM, you have to be VERY carefull at picking out the proper parts to get them right. I worked with roadtrip120 on a setup for him and in the end he basically said he would have rather just changed rockers over to the 1.6's since there was lots of BS to get it to work as well as the 1.6 setup. Who specifically makes a 1.7 SA rocker? I know CAT had some bogus 1.65's that were self-aligning.

Self aligning? Where from? I'm not talking about converting a set of BBC ones and using guideplates. I'm talking about a Vortec style 1.7 rocker. Scorpion? I've obviously heard of their LS1 1.7's but not for LT1's. Where do you get them?

They dont make them in a self aligning version in the 1.7 ratio, so you'd have to use guide plates. Thats an easy swap though, so I don't know why that would keep you from using them.
