112 LSA w/ Nitrous

I am thinking of adding a 75-100 shot on my car with the mods listed below.
Car dynos about 315 RWHP (mild head port) and I am looking for more, occasionally.
Anyone spray 100 shot with a 112 lsa 224/230?
Disadvantages to the 112 lsa?

My cam is a 235i 242e .568 .592 112lsa cam and I run the times in the sig on a 150 shot. I went with the 112lsa to give me a little more power N/A and it works very well for the bottle too.

I wouldn't call it a disadvantage.

A larger SLA would help to increase your cylinder pressure and get the most out of you Nitrous setup.

There are a lot of guys out there that build for N/A power and consider the Nitrous power as a bonus so they run a tighter LSA for all around driving fun.

A 112 SLA will be nice for your all around needs but may not give you every last possible HP out of the Nitrous. We're talking single digit HP loss here so personally I don't think I would worry with it.

Since your only going to occasionally use the spray I think the 112 would be good.

I am not an expert but this is my understanding after a talk with Dave at Combination Motorsports.

Nitrous has some similarities and some differences in terms of cam optimaization compared to a blower. The main function of overlap is to have the exhaust help scavenge the cylinder and pull in the fresh intake charge. A blower really doesn't need a lot of overlap because the intake is always under pressure. Nitrous is like NA from the point of view of cylinder filling. Overlap is needed.

Nitrous and a blower are similar in that they both substantially increase the volume of exhaust gasses. That is why optimal blower and nitrous cams will have a pretty big split between intake and exhaust duration. But in general terms, a good NA cam will work fine with a small to moderate nitrous shot.

Thanks for the input.
I'll add the 75-100 shot and we'll see what happens...

Larnach- sorry for the surprise- I forgot I had that there.
It's gone now...
