nice. Before i decided to go turbo, i was going to run that cam, or the lunati 60123. Looks like a lot of people have good luck with the XFI cams.

I,ve seen a few posts where a few said it might make a better door stop than a cam shaft. If its doing good for me with LE2 heads and just a base tune, think of the potential!

Shooting for that good dynamic CR really paid off.
Congrats on placing at the shootout. From what I've read
you had a hell of a time.

I wonder what a set of comp 977 springs would do for controlling
that cam in the upper rpm's?

Nice runs Mec, glad I was there to witness them

After your opti problems at the hotel, I thought that you deserved one of those opti trophys

You placed better than I did in the N/A class, I was paired up with Brady (roadtrip120) in the first round...so needless to say I didn't make it to the second round

At least I ran a new best time though

See ya next year!

Mec,

Good runs with your new package and the XFI-292 cam. I get upset when people bad-mouth my XFI cam here on the forum, however, none of them have ever out-run me.

Here are some times from my last time out (2 weeks ago). Track was margional w/ poor 60fts (typically I have 1.50s) and the DA was around 2870.

Also, I'm looking forward to next year's shoot-out and I plan to show-up with a few new upgrages next year.

Congrats on the new PB! 11.48 is my new PB also. I will be trying to improve on it though. (car has lots more in it) Dont worry, Brady put me on the trailer also. I would have made it a better race if I had cut a better light. (I was dead late on the tree. The starter almost had to blow a hand held air horn to let me know the light was green!!lol) Next year will be interesting. Everyone will be using the 08 event as a measuring stick. I expect next years heads up classes to be much tougher! Hope the moons align for everyone to make it back next year!

All I know Warren is that when I lined up next to you on a warm up run, the only thing I saw was the back end of your car from the tree to the stripe!! I'm gonna be working hard to try and match those times of yours so maybe next year it will be you and me in the final!

Hey Mec,
Don't know if you remember me I was the green formula that lost to you when my throttle cable broke at LTx. It was good to see someone there having as much fun as you. I've gotten mine down to 11.21 @ 124.55 I should be in the 10s with that mph but cant seem to get out of the gate.
Hope to see you there next year with a 10 sec 408!

I think I ran against you in qualifying, what does your car look like? Was it the green formula that was parked next to me in the pits?

This is what my car looked like at the shootout btw...

Ya, I think I was parked by you. I was the guy with the goofy exhaust that hung real low cuz of my bmr crossbrace (which btw is fixed now and looks much better) .
I'm only running 31 degrees of timing right now can't wait to get it up to 35 or so...

I remember my son, Shawn and I were talking with you (and some othe guy) while we were waiting in-line to get into KCIR on Saturday morning. I think we were wiping my car down in hopes it would quit raining.

Nice meeting you there!
