That is good to know. I'm leaning toward that, it seems to fit my slim/none budget for the car right now.

It is what used to come from the LE2 package when Joe O speced the cams. The duration is close to a GM 847.

My OEM GM opti blew up in the waterbox during a burnout at about 6200 RPM with my cc503

Rotor just fell apart inside.

Nice times and MPH man, looks like our cars would be a real close run.

There's a lot to be said for using one of the aftermarket ignition systems that allows you to run without the rotor.

I (the computer) shift at 6300 rpm...I guess its hit or miss with optis...I replaced my original opti with another GM one about 4 years ago as routine maintenance...

I have a relatively new GM Opti (two seasons of bracket racing only), but I think it is starting to go out due the RPM I’ve been turning (6500+). I have a random high RPM miss that has to be ignition related. Everything else is new (coil, ICM, plugs, plug wires) and the random miss seems to be getting worse with time, therefore I suspect the Opti.

I have one of the MSD Pro-Billet distributors on order now. I heard of some problems with the early MSD Pro-Billets, so I hope they have everything worked-out now.

I know I don't have their whole opti, but I put an msd cap/rotor on my car a month or 2 ago and it seems to be holding up fine. I took all the screws out and put red loc-tight on them for insruance.
