Mine leaked for about the first 3 weeks after switching to synthetic, but I haven't noticed anything for the past few weeks.

everything is stock with no engine repairs at all

Just looking to see whats popular?
So everybody who has 100k plus miles please post up.
Why do you think you need to change? Just keep using what you're using.

I dont, just wanted to see what everyone else is using. Hence why i said "just looking to see whats popular".
Was thinking that if there was a lot of people using X brand I would give it a shot.

everyone is running high weights! I had a teacher in school that is a prototype engine developer for Ford and they use 5w-20 for the higher HP that is produces and the better gas mileage they get out of it. I run Mobil 1 5W-30 but I think the 40 and 50 weights, even synthetics are unnecessary! to each his own but I think the extra weight if not needed are robbing HP and taking away from the LT1s potential to get good mpg.

just my .02

The question is how much loss are we talking about, vs not needed viscosity.

not an LT1 but, 186K miles, valvoline 10w30 conventional. Doesnt always get oil changes when it should, will lose half a quart at about 3200 miles (to remind me I guess) and stays there until I add it back in or change the oil. AC Delco filters btw. Always clean too.
